SpartanHost LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”) is committed to providing a secure, high-performance hosting environment for all customers. To ensure the reliability and integrity of our services, we require all users to adhere to this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

1. General Guidelines
SpartanHost LLC strictly prohibits the use of its services for any activities that are illegal, abusive, or harmful to others. Customers are responsible for all content hosted on their accounts and any actions taken using their services.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal activities such as hacking, fraud, or identity theft.
- Hosting malware, viruses, or phishing sites.
- Engaging in abusive or disruptive behavior.
2. Prohibited Content and Activities
The following types of content and activities are not allowed on our network:
A. Illegal or Unlawful Activities
- Criminal Activities: Using our services to engage in or promote criminal acts, including fraud, identity theft, money laundering, or terrorism.
- Unauthorized Access: Hacking, scanning, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to networks, accounts, or servers.
- Copyright Infringement: Hosting, sharing, or distributing pirated software, movies, music, or any copyrighted material without permission.
- Child Exploitation: Hosting or distributing content related to child pornography, exploitation, or abuse.
B. Security Violations
- Malware & Phishing: Hosting, distributing, or facilitating the spread of malware, ransomware, spyware, or phishing scams.
- Denial of Service (DoS) Attacks: Engaging in or facilitating DoS or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
- Account Abuse: Unauthorized account access, password cracking, or credential stuffing.
C. Network Abuse
- Excessive Resource Usage: Running applications or scripts that excessively consume bandwidth, CPU, memory, or disk space, affecting other users.
- Spam & Unsolicited Emails: Sending bulk emails, spam, or unsolicited commercial messages.
- Open Mail Relays: Using our services as an open mail relay for spam or other malicious activities.
D. Prohibited Content
- Hate Speech & Extremism: Content promoting racism, violence, hatred, or extremist ideologies.
- Defamation & Harassment: False statements intended to harm a person’s reputation or cyberstalking and harassment.
- Fraudulent Services: Hosting fake investment schemes, Ponzi schemes, or misleading financial services.
3. Resource Usage & Fair Use Policy
To maintain a stable and secure hosting environment, users must follow these resource usage guidelines:
A. Web Hosting & Shared Hosting Accounts
- Websites must not excessively consume server resources (CPU, memory, disk I/O).
- Continuous background processes, mining scripts, and automated bots are prohibited.
- File storage is strictly for website-related content; using hosting for backups or personal file storage is not allowed.
B. VPS & Dedicated Servers
- Customers must ensure their servers do not interfere with network performance.
- Running high-risk applications like DDoS stress testers or unauthorized VPN services is not allowed.
C. Bandwidth Usage
- Unmetered bandwidth is provided for legitimate website and application traffic.
- Excessive or abusive use that affects other customers may result in service limitations.
4. Email and Messaging Policy
Customers using our email services must follow these guidelines:
- No Spam: Sending bulk, unsolicited emails (spam) is strictly prohibited.
- No Email Bombing: Sending large volumes of emails in a short period, causing disruptions.
- No Phishing Emails: Attempting to deceive recipients into providing sensitive information.
We reserve the right to suspend email services if an account is found to be in violation.
5. Server and Network Security
Maintaining a secure hosting environment is essential. The following security violations are prohibited:
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access other accounts, systems, or networks without permission.
- Port Scanning & Exploits: Using our services to scan for vulnerabilities or exploit security flaws.
- Botnets & Malicious Scripts: Running botnets, brute-force attack tools, or unauthorized automation.
If a security breach is detected, we may immediately suspend or terminate the affected service.
6. Payment & Billing Fraud
We have a zero-tolerance policy for fraudulent activities, including:
- Chargebacks & Payment Disputes: If a chargeback is initiated without first contacting our support team, the account may be suspended.
- Stolen Payment Methods: Using stolen credit cards or unauthorized payment accounts is strictly prohibited.
- Misrepresentation: Providing false information during account registration or payment processing.
7. Enforcement & Consequences of Violations
If a customer violates this Acceptable Use Policy, SpartanHost LLC may take the following actions:
A. Warnings & Notifications
- Minor violations may receive a warning with an opportunity to correct the issue.
- Repeated violations may result in service suspension.
B. Service Suspension or Termination
- Serious violations may lead to immediate account suspension or termination.
- If an account is suspended, the customer must resolve the issue before services are reinstated.
- Terminated accounts are not eligible for refunds.
C. Legal Action & Law Enforcement Involvement
- We may report illegal activities to law enforcement authorities.
- We may cooperate with investigations if required by law.

9. Changes to This Policy
